About Mrs L

Original Midlander now living down South. I moved to be with Mr L and ended up becoming Mrs L. Whilst I already had friends down this way I’ve ended up making some additional special friendships of which I class Mrs O one of them.

I’m a first time mum to the cutest little boy I’ve ever met (obviously I’m completely biased!) I’m honest enough to say it’s the hardest job I’ve ever had. That part took me completely by surprise and totally messed up the control freak in me – poor Mr L often takes the brunt of this! I’m slowly becoming more relaxed and I’m trying my hardest to be the best mum I can possibly be to my boy Cal. I’m loving watching him grow and develop every day.

One of my passions is people – especially family and friends. I love knowing what makes people tick as well as trying to make the world a better place for them. This has very close links to the type of work I’ve been involved in since leaving university in 2001.

My other passions include:
Holidays / travelling – the world excites me but I don’t make nearly enough money to explore all of the countries I’d like to.
Photography – I’m an enthusiastic amateur who loves any excuse to snap away. I’ve recently upgraded my DSLR so look out for my shots on here
Food – I can probably count on one hand the foods I don’t like. And when I say don’t like, that generally means Ive yet to have them cooked well for or by me. I rarely leave a meal unfinished, if I do it generally means I’m ill! I love nothing more than a great meal out and trying a new restaurant
Beauty – I’m a sucker for a product but have my favourites / irreplaceable pieces in my vanity cupboard.  My friends detest coming into Boots with me because I can spend hours in there.
Music and dancing – I’m regularly found singing along during a car journey or dancing around my house to almost anything and everything. My tastes are somewhat eclectic.
Comedy – I love nothing more than a good giggle, whether that’s with friends and family, watching a TV show or stand-up, or at live comedy gigs. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

I love to chat so blogging seems the easiest way to ramble on without someone actually having to be in the same room as me.  I do hope you enjoy what I have to say, if not, I won’t be offended but I’ll carry on regardless.
